Almost all of these tracks were recorded in a lively restaurant with a Zoom R16 recorder/interface/controller with all effects turned off. The electronic piano was plugged straight into the recorder. The bass was taken from the pickup via the amp's direct output. Only the drums were recorded acoustically to minimize crowd noise. I mixed those tracks with Audacity, using no effects besides a little EQ for the bass. I'm new at this whole multitrack recording thing, so please let me know if you have ideas. For comparison (and because I like it) I've left Autumn Leaves up, which I recorded with tiny binaural mics from Core Sound and an Edirol R-1 digital recorder.
